Terms of Use
Last updated: July 7, 2026
These terms are written in plain English. They explain the basic expectations for using NeuroBriefer responsibly as a research and literature-discovery tool.
Accepting these terms
By using NeuroBriefer, you agree to these basic terms. If you do not agree with them, do not use the service.
Who may use NeuroBriefer
NeuroBriefer is intended for researchers, students, clinicians, educators, and others using it for research, learning, or literature discovery. You should use accurate account information and only create or use accounts you are authorized to access.
Research and informational use
NeuroBriefer is an informational and literature-discovery tool. It is not medical advice, clinical advice, legal advice, or a substitute for scientific or professional judgment.
Check original articles
AI summaries may be incomplete, misleading, or wrong. Metadata may be incomplete. Ranking may miss relevant papers. Before citing, relying on, or acting on a claim, check the original paper.
No guarantee of exhaustive coverage
NeuroBriefer does not guarantee that it will identify every relevant paper. It is not a systematic review tool and should not replace direct database searches when comprehensive coverage matters.
Accounts and security
You are responsible for protecting your login credentials, using accurate account information, and notifying NeuroBriefer if you believe your account has been compromised. Do not use another person's account without permission.
User content
You retain ownership of notes and other original material you enter into NeuroBriefer. By adding that material, you give NeuroBriefer the limited permission needed to store, process, display, and transmit it for the purpose of operating the service.
Public sharing
If you deliberately create or use a public sharing link, you are responsible for the material you share. Public links may be accessible by anyone who has the link.
Copyright and publisher terms
NeuroBriefer may link to PubMed, publisher pages, repositories, open-access versions, or PDFs where available. You are responsible for respecting copyright, publisher terms, institutional access rules, and applicable laws.
Acceptable use
Do not scrape aggressively, overload, reverse engineer where legally restricted, interfere with, or attempt to compromise NeuroBriefer. Do not use the service for spam, abuse, unauthorized access, interference with other users, or misuse of public sharing.
Third-party content and links
NeuroBriefer links to PubMed, publishers, repositories, and other third-party sites. NeuroBriefer does not control their availability, accuracy, terms, or privacy practices.
Availability and changes
NeuroBriefer is evolving. Features may change, the service may occasionally be unavailable, and there is no guarantee that every feature will remain permanently available. Accounts may be suspended or removed in cases of abuse.
Disclaimer and limitation of liability
NeuroBriefer is provided as available. It cannot guarantee uninterrupted operation, perfect recommendations, perfect summaries, complete metadata, or complete literature coverage. Use it as a research aid, not as the final authority.
Changes to these terms
These terms may be updated as NeuroBriefer evolves. Continued use after an update means the updated terms apply.
Governing law
The governing law for these terms has not yet been finalized. It should be confirmed by the operator of NeuroBriefer before these terms are treated as formal legal terms.
